On a rainy Monday morning few women gathered to meet each other, talk about ideas, innovation and realize their potential in female entrepreneurship. They were a group of hard working, diligent and exuberant women. These innovative female talents were eager to expand their network and discover a community committed to broaden diversity into the ecosystem.
During the Women in Entrepreneurship Networking Breakfast on May 3rd, at The Ground we all learned about each other’s paths and how being an entrepreneur can relate to multiple work areas. This meeting was all about creating a safe space to speak one's mind and facilitate knowledge-sharing conversations on the topics of femtech, human rights, and the effectiveness of incubators in fostering female entrepreneurship.
The conversations went long and deep, exploring new areas and bringing important topics such as balancing motherhood and preventing burn out while still being an active entrepreneur. Melina and Maria are experts in gender equality and they contributed discussion on creating an equal workplace and society by bringing fast change.
Katja is a business coach and leads projects in incubators and she discussed how effective it is for students to start entrepreneurship through their program at Drivehuset. Tshepiso is an engineer who has a plathora of experience in tech. She mentioned how femtech is the future that all need to take part of. Finally Carmen spoke about every changing paths leading to new careers and how being a scientist was something that completely changed her life. Now she is an entrepreneurial venturer with fascinating research capabilities. We cannot wait to see what exciting venture she will embark upon as a woman in entrepreneurship!
Such conversations would not have taken place today, if it weren't for the support of The Ground, our community partner. Skåne entrepreneurial ecosystem constantly witnesses the amazing impact The Ground brings to the entrepreneurial table. Overall, it was yet another fantastic intimate networking breakfast and we wish the very best of luck to all the fascinating ladies and our community partner for making this event a reality!
